“Faith without works is dead”

-James 2:26

Hi I’m Samara!

Velkomin to Sweet Momma’s Farm—our Nordic-inspired homestead where we are learning to live the old ways again.

We raise Icelandic sheep, cows, chickens, and livestock guardian dogs.

Our journey began through seasons of infertility and autoimmune struggles, which led us toward natural living and a deeper trust in God.

Since then, we’ve been returning to the old ways. Learning forgotten skills, slowing our pace, and shaping our days around the rhythm of the land and our Scandinavian roots. From the barn to the kitchen, our home is guided by faith in Jesus Christ and the desire to build something steady, simple, and life-giving.

Here, I share our journey—homesteading, natural living, handmade work, and Christ-centered motherhood. My hope is to encourage you as you build a peaceful home of your own, one simple step at a time.

Are you wondering if this belongs in your life?
  • A Slower, Steadier Way of Living
We live by slower, steadier rhythms—working with our hands, shaping our days around the land, and choosing a home life that isn’t rushed or cluttered.
  • We Grow, Raise, and Create What We Need
We raise animals, grow what we can, and craft handmade goods in small batches. Everything we do stays close to its source, guided by care, stewardship, and intention.
  • We Follow Faith, Family, and the Old Ways
We center our home on Jesus Christ, build strong family life, and return to the old ways of living—simple, practical, and rooted in purpose.
